Am I Ready For A Workshop?

Here's some fundamentals we ask you to know before heading to a workshop. If you are having trouble trying to figure each out for your individual camera, just reach out via the Contact Form.

SELF TIMER
Your camera most likely has a 2 and 10 second self timer. This can be used in the absence of a trigger and to make sure you won't have camera shake.

AUTO EXPOSURE BRACKETING
Your camera will be able to shoot a scene with 2, 3, 5 or 7 bracketed exposures. Learn how to set this and how to change the exposure increments.

LIVE VIEW
Check your manual how to turn on Live View.

ZOOM FUNCTION IN LIVE VIEW

This will enable you to check for critical focus in different parts of the image.

MOVING A FOCUS POINT
Move the focus point throughout the scene.

CHANGING THE FOCUS METHOD
From single shot to continuous shot to auto.

AUTO ISO
Learn how to turn this on and off.

DATE AND TIME
Learn how to change this on your camera so you can tell when an image was shot in the local time.

LONG EXPOSURE NOISE REDUCTION
This will need to be turned off but does have a use during long exposures.

SHOOTING WITHOUT A MEMORY CARD
Set this to off. You don't want to work a whole day and not have had a memory card in your camera.

What Is The Cancellation And Refund Policy?

Refunds will be honored per our Terms and Conditions. We very strongly suggest obtaining travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may require you to cancel your attendance in a workshop.

Do You Recommend Trip And Travel Insurance?

Trip And Travel Insurance

This insurance will typically cover you if you have to cancel a trip due to an illness, injury, family, or possibly a work related reason. Coverages can include reimbursement for money paid to airlines, other travel providers, and JT Blenker Photography Workshops. It's your choice to purchase this insurance, or not.

Can I Bring Along My Spouse On A Workshop?

To allow for the maximum amount of time shooting, post processing, and having a world class experience we don't allow sightseers on a workshop. Each day and evening will be a packed schedule focused on you and your education behind the camera and in the landscape. Let your spouse know you'll come back bursting with knowledge and new ways of seeing and creating a photograph.

What's Included In A Workshop?

All of the information you need for any workshop is always on the sign-up page for that workshop. If you have additional questions go to the Contact Form and we'll be prompt in responding to your inquiry.
